WISDOM AND MERCY AS FEMININE - December 2021
Wisdom and Mercy - feminine traits from the beginning - can trace these traits to Eve in the Garden and most definitely to our Heavenly Mother
Zion as feminine - easier to be of one heart and one mind
Proverbs 1-8 written in the feminine form - Lady Wisdom - Eve/Heavenly Mother
Lots of opportunities to bring up examples of women leaders as we study the Old Testament next year
When speaking or writing about Priesthood, remove the word "the" before "priesthood" (unless structurally necessary) - this minimizes the gender connotation
The word "transgression" as it relates to Eve —was it a transgression or a choice? How do we define transgression?
President Oaks in his Mesa temple dedicatory talk said we leave the temple with His authority "all who come here receive His authority"
Two witnesses - President Oaks and President Ballard (telling us that priesthood authority for women does not come just through callings)
President Oaks in his dedicatory talk said we leave the temple with His authority "all who come here receive His authority"
President Ballard: 2015 BYU Women's Conference
"Like faithful sisters in the past, you need to learn how to use the priesthood authority with which you have been endowed to obtain every eternal blessing that will be yours."
One way we use priesthood power and authority is in our homes with our families
